IT'S HERE! THE LAKE REGION SOMETHING

Let me introduce you to my new monthly online “magazine” THE LAKE REGION SOMETHING.  Click here for the September 2013 premiere “issue”.

 

The "Lake Region" in the title refers to the lake region of Northeast Pennsylvania – most prominently Lake Wallenpaupack – where I now live.

 

THE LAKE REGION SOMETHING is for those who live in the region and those who visit, or would like to visit, the region. 

 

I have always wanted to write and publish a local newspaper or magazine – and this is the closest way to do so without a large cash investment.

 

THE LAKE REGION SOMETHING will feature lots of interesting “stuff” on entertainment and popular culture, taxes and personal finance, travel, etc., etc., etc., as well as information on local events and activities.

 

The September “issue” tells us how the concept for tv classic “Law and Order” came about, when it is ok to say “never” when it comes to taxes, when you should never use a debit card and how to conduct an unclaimed property search.  It has an editorial on tax reform, finds a website on how to make mixed drinks, and leaves us laughing.
