* Paul Caron, the TAX PROF, reports that “The House Judiciary Committee voted yesterday (also July 18th) to prohibit patents of tax planning methods, defined as 'a plan, strategy, technique or scheme that is designed to reduce, minimize, or defer' a taxpayer's tax liability.”
